Paolo’s Story

Paolo Corona originates and grew up in Costa Esmeralda, situated on the Italian island of Sardegna. – "my island," as he fondly calls it.

Across his works, one can observe a sense of movement and depth that draws inspiration from the interplay of the sea and the wind-sculpted landscapes of the island.

Each artwork is titled with what his loved ones affectionately call "Paolo-isms." –
sweet sayings, amazing places, and broken English.

The artworks incorporate a mixed-medium approach, utilizing around 90 percent recycled materials such as single-use plastics, discarded wood, and metal. Once the sculptures are shaped, they are enveloped in "extra" fabric sourced from his fashion atelier situated near Milan, where Corona continues to craft couture garments for his exclusive clientele.
